Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and as I’m writing this I’m packing up my house in Australia, ready to move back to Japan. I’m looking forward to some crisp winter weather. I love winter! Today’s card has all the cosy vibes!
I made a background panel by blending orange, red and blue inks in a wide strip (just about the same height as my feature image). I masked off the edges of the strip with masking tape. Once the blending was done, I spattered the panel with water, which I mopped up with paper towel. Then I spattered again, this time using some gold shimmer spray.
The feature image comes from the adorable Mugs and Kisses Stamp set, as does the sentiment. I stamped the image in copic friendly ink, and then coloured it using colours that would match the background, before cutting it out with the matching Mugs and Kisses die, and popping it up with foam tape. The marshmallows were cut separately, also using the dies, and I glued them on top.
I love the warm colours in this card, I think that 2021 was the year that I learnt to like orange! I hope that 2022 is starting out to be a great year for you. I’m so excited to be sharing cards with you again this year, and I’m excited by what the new year will hold.
Until next time, may your days be cosy!
Blessings,
So fun!
