Hey friends! Happy Friday! It’s Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook today with a sympathy card using some goodies from the new release. I find that I’m never in the mood to make a sympathy card when I need one so it’s good to just always have a couple in my stash, ready for such a yucky occasion.
For today’s card, I die cut a white card base and a piece of paper from the Thankful paper pad with the largest Mod Stitched Rectangle and adhered them together with liquid glue. Then I stamped images from Always and colored them with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
At this point I decided not to use the sentiments in the set but a die cut one from the Sympathy Slim Line die set. I cut the shadow from vellum and the words from white cardstock 4 times. I glued them all together with liquid glue and started assembling my card. The heart is added with foam tape and the sentiment is glued directly to that with liquid glue. Then the butterfly was added with a foam square.
I didn’t think it was appropriate to add a lot of bling or shimmer to a card with this tone so I kept finishing touches simple with some Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on the butterfly and that’s all.
Once my card was finished I thought it would be perfect to stamp one of the sentiments from Always on the inside with the butterfly images too. I don’t do this often but this was just perfect.
I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
lovely!
