Hi friends, this is Caitlin and today I am sharing a sweet set with a matching card and tag. I wanted to celebrate the official start of winter with the Winter Cardinals Stamps and we made this super cute card live on Monday night. You can watch the replay here if you missed it. I love how the red and teal colors work together and I really wanted to make a tag to match so I started by die cutting a full tag from Ice Rink Card Stock and a tag frame with some Stop Sign Card Stock using the Shaker Tag Dies.
I wanted to add the same background detail to the shaker as I did the card, so I stenciled a very light layer of Lakeside Ink with the Large Snowflakes Stencil. decided to make it a normal flat tag instead of a shaker tag so I added the frame with to the solid layer with the EZ Squeeze liquid glue. I stamped out the bird on the branch image and the single holly from the Winter Cardinals Stamp Set with Asphalt Ink and set them aside to dry for a few minutes. I used my Copic markers to color in the images and the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I stamped my sentiment onto the upper part of the tag with black ink and then used liquid glue to add the holly to the top left corner. I popped the cardinal up with foam tape and then added some red and white twine to bring it all together. I love how the card and tag look together and when you already have all the supplies adding a matching tag can actually be pretty quick and easy.
