Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here from donnaisplayingpaper. By the time you read this, I will be in a car, travelling across the Australian outback to see my parents and children. Very exciting, especially as we haven’t seen some of them for several years thanks to a certain world situation. I have a real cutie to share with you today, as well as some Copic colouring tips and a video.
Although this is a baby card, this stamp set would make fabulous birthday cards for young children (or bear lovers of all ages!) The stamps for this card come from the adorable Bear with Wagon stamp set. I stamped the images separately with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut them out using the matching Bear with Wagon Dies and then coloured them with my Copic alcohol markers. To make the fur texture, I used a piece of towel and some Colourless Blender solution, roughed up the nap of the fabric, and dabbed it onto the bear. I videoed the process, and you can see the video here. https://youtu.be/JZBlNoVoVts as well as the making of the whole card.
Once the images were coloured, I assembled the card, The textured white background was made with the Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder, and the little plaid strip comes from the Year Round Plaids paper pack. I stamped the sentiment, (after first cutting it in half with scissors😬) in Pink and Main Watermark ink, and embossed it with Frosting Embossing powder, a nice bright white. All the images were popped up with foam tape.
This card has already made its way to some proud new parents, and I’m so glad for the joy that a card can give. Until next time, have a wonderful week.
Blessings
