Hello friends and welcome back! It’s Laurie with you this afternoon to share a card made using some new release goodies!
I am smitten with the new Let’s Flamingle Stamp Set! The images are large, whimsical and so much fun to colour!
After colouring this beauty with alcohol markers, I paired it up with one of the Reverse Scallop Square Dies. On the inner portion of the die, I used the brand new Mini Ergonomic Blending Brush with blue ink. Let me tell you, I have never gotten such a perfect blend! I own other types of blending brushes but have never gotten a result like this!
I placed the Cracked Stencil over top of the blue ink blending and added the same colour with a heavier hand. I love the effect this gives.
I adhered the flamingo and leaf to the inked portion then added the frame overtop. On the backside, I added some Scotch Tape to keep both pieces together.
You may notice that the sentiments are in some unconventional places. This is because I had a malfunction with my glue and had to place them strategically to cover the mess :(. I think it looks alright but that wasn’t in my plan!
I added a bunch of foam adhesive to the back of the square and popped it onto a top fold, A2, white card base. I found a gold, sparkly gelly roll pen in my stash and added it to the heart and the crown along with some Nuvo Crystal Glaze for a nice effect.
And that’s my card for you today! I hope you enjoyed!
Have a terrific weekend and see you back here again soon!
Laurie
