Two Mer-May Cards with One Die

Hi friends, this is Caitlin and today I am sharing the companion card I made to go with the one we made LIVE last week. On Friday we made a fun shaped shaker card with each well of the Heart Spotlight Cover Die having confetti inside. I wanted to use the frame from that die cut for another card so that the pattern paper didn’t go to waste. We have been loving the new Colorful Ink Spots Paper Pad on the Lives and these mermaids felt like a perfect match for it.

I started out by glueing the frame to an A2 sized panel of Ice Rink Card Stock using the EZ Squeeze Liquid Glue. I added foam tape to the back of the heart element and added it back into it’s spot in the frame. I stamped out the sitting mermaid and two fish from the Stay Sparkly Stamp Set, which is the stamp of the month for May, onto Copic X-Press It Paper with Asphalt Ink. I stamped the Make Waves sentiment stamp with Dress Shop Ink so that it would coordinate with the pattern paper.

I colored the stamped images with Copic Sketch Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added the mermaid and larger fish to the card front with foam tape and the smaller fish and sentiment with liquid glue onto the already popped up heart. This card came together so simply and easily and I love that I was able to use up all of the beautiful pattern paper we cut.

If you haven’t been hanging out with us live, we would love to have you! We hang out (almost) every Tuesday and Thursday night at 8:30 eastern and make a different project every time. I love taking requests for products, color or occasions you want to see inspiration for and I check the comments on the Pink and Main Facebook Page Videos as well as the YouTube Channel.
