Hi Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, enjoying some warm Tokyo weather. I’ve got a card for you today that has foiling, shaker elements, and Copic colouring. that’s a lot to fit on one card!!
Let’s have a look at it in layers, shall we? The background panel is a Foilable called Tropical Leaves. I foiled this using the Evergreen Cheerfoil to give a lovely rich green background.
Next I stamped the toucan from the Tiki Time Stamp set with an alcohol friendly ink and coloured the image with my Copic markers. I looked at toucan images on the internet to choose my colours. I cut this out with the matching die. Yay for not having to cut around the little feathers on this bird’s head with scissors!
To make the shaker, I used the plainest of the Square Frame Dies, and cut it once from gold cardstock. I also cut three white frames to put behind and add some height. I find this easier than using foam tape, and I don’t have to worry about escapees from the sequins. I put a piece of scrap acetate between the top gold layer and the next layer down, and added some sequins before sticking the frame to the card at what I believe to be a jaunty angle!
The thanks sentiment comes from the same Tiki Time Stamp set , and I perched that on the frame along with the toucan, who is propped up with two layers of foam tape to bring him up to the height of the shaker frame.
That’s all for today! I hope you have a super weekend, and I look forward to sharing more cards with you soon! Until next time, stay safe,
Blessings
Donna
