Toucan Do It – Yes You Can

Hey peeps. It’s Dana here with you today. I’m thrilled to be featuring the newly released Toucan Do It stamp set. This set just warms my heard with all the adorable images and sentiments. It’s such a fun set to color and play with. For my card today, I pull out all the stops and made a simple background for my card along with the adorable sloth.

I started my card off with making my background for my smaller panel using two colors of green ink. I trimmed down this panel using the Stitched Rectangle Dies Set 1 and added some black circles with my multi-liner pen. For the larger background piece I pulled out my Back To Basics 6×6 paper pad and die cut it with a larger die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies Set 1. Having all this beautiful green as the majority color kept my card clean and simple.

Next it was time to work on the sloth. I swear he is too cute. First I stamped him out on Copic Xpress It paper and colored him in with different shades of brown. I pulled out some darker tones for the tree. I extended the branch just a bit by leaving the end of the die hanging out of my die cutting machine. To see that in action see the my tutorial. The adorable sloth was now ready for my card. I popped him up with some foam squares for dimension.

The sentiment was stamped in black ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I trimmed it down with my paper trimmer to make it a sentiment strip and also popped it up with foam tape. This was such an easy and fun card to make. Here is a close up of this adorable image.
