Hey there! Katie here today, just coming home from a long weekend at the Oregon coast. I was fortunate enough to see my P&M Teamie Amanda on the way to our destination. It was so fun to get together with her and her family and just chill!
Speaking of chilling, it was good to come home to some AC, because it was 90 degrees on the Oregon coast! But we had such a great time visiting with my Mom and Step Dad. With that, you will think today’s card is appropriate.
Seriously, squee! This penguin from the new stamp and die of the month (AVAILABLE NOW) called Summer Penguins is just adorable! I stamped this image using my mist, and colored it with Copics (C7, Y13, RV04, RV02, BG13, BG11, YR04, YR16, E31, E33, E35, YG11, YG17, YG67) along with some white gel pen highlights. I die cut this out and set it aside. Next, I pulled out a white base and my Nautilus Shell Stencil and used my Mini Ergo Blending Brush with Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxides. Next, I used the Wide Stitched Arches Dies with some woodgrain paper and Riverwalk Cardstock. I mounted these using EZ Tear Tape on my base, stamped my sentiment with Asphalt Ink and then added my image using Foam Tape.
At first I wasn’t sure about the backdrop, but I actually think it turned out pretty fun!
I’d love to just give this guy a cuddle AND, I’d love to steal his drink (or would have, when I was cooking at the beach). Well that’s all today, I hope you enjoyed this post and welcome you to pick up this stamp/die of the month and all the new goodies coming this Friday. Be sure to check them out! Also, check out YT, FB, and IG for other fantastic inspiration.
Thanks for visiting! ~Katie
