Tea-Themed Card

Hello crafty friends.

It’s Lisa Mears (@LisaMearsDesigns) on the blog today. I’m excited to share a tea-themed card I made using the latest products from Pink and Main. This card is perfect for tea lovers and can be given any time of year.

I die cut the Pink and Main Tea Party dies and the Pastry Tray dies from white cardstock and used my colorful inks to add color to the die cut pieces. I find that when I have a lot to die cut, it’s easier and takes less time to die cut with white cardstock and add ink to the white die cuts rather than to die cut with different color cardstock.

I added accents with a white gel pen on the inked die cuts.

For the background of my card, I die cut the Pink and Main Fancy Lattice cover die from white cardstock and added it to a piece of white cardstock. I added a Pink and Main Stitched Rectangle Frame around the outside edge. I chose white because I thought it would accent the tea die cuts nicely and would really make them “pop” against the white background.

I added the tea die cuts onto the Fancy Lattice panel and then added that to a piece of pattern paper from the Pop Flowers pattern paper pad.

For the sentiment, I used one from the Pink and Main Tea Time stamp set. I love this stamp set so much as it has so many different sentiments relating to tea. I chose the sentiment “Hope You Have A Brew-Tea-Ful Day!” Since this stamp is two lines, I knew it wouldn’t fit on the front of the card so I separated it into two sentiments. To do this, I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and cut the first line of the sentiment out and added it the front of the card. Next, I used washi tape to mask the first line of the sentiment and stamped it inside of an A2 card base. I added a few more die cuts to the inside of the card.
