Hello crafty friends. It’s Donna here. After a real taste of Spring here in Japan, with beautiful cherry blossoms, it seems as though winter is back for another visit.
I have created a cosy inside-out-of-the-cold kind of a card for you today, using the Tea-rific stamp set.
As well as the beautiful range of ornate teapots and cups, there are three smaller solid images, and I have used these to create the background. I stamped a few at a time, and sprinkled them with embossing powder before stamping some more. I melted the embossing powder at the end, but without sprinkling it first, I couldn’t see where all the gaps were. Once everything was melted, I blended some pale yellow ink over the panel using a blending brush. I brushed the colour onto the edges a little more strongly to make a border to the panel.
Next, I stamped the teapot and cup in Copic friendly ink, and coloured them in shades of green. I used the matching dies to cut them out. I used the same copic colours to shade a piece of cardstock for the sentiment, which I heat embossed in white.
As I head into a very busy week, the sentiment is good advice for life. As I sit here typing and enjoying yet another cup of Japanese tea, I’m reminded to stop and enjoy the moment.
Until next time, may you enjoy life one sip at a time.
Blessings,
Cute card!
Have a great day!
