Hi, everyone! Samantha here today on the Pink and Main Blog excited to share a cute card featuring the new Big Bear stamp set from the October release.
To start my card I stamped several of the cute images from the Big Bear stamp set onto Copic X-Press It paper in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. After coloring my images with Copic markers I die them with the coordinating Big Bear Dies and set them aside to work on my background.
One of my favorite items from Pink and Main is the pattern paper, and with this release there is a new Great Outdoors Paper Pad that includes a fun array of patterns as well as a scene paper featuring a woodland scene. I took the woodland scene and trimmed the paper to 4 1/8th x 5 7/8.” Next I took the largest of the Stitched Rounded Rectangle Dies and cut out the center section creating two parts. I then grabbed a green plaid paper from the Great Outdoors Paper Pad and using my Waves and Scallops Dies I cut out a small section to use for my ground. Lastly, using some of the dies from the Little Trees Dies, I cut out shapes in orange and green cardstock to represent my tree tops. Now for assembly!
To start, I adhered my inner scene paper section to the center of an ivory-colored, folding, A2-sized cardbase with glue. Next, using thin foam tape, I adhered my green paper paper die cut along the bottom of my scene, as shown above, before adhering the scene-paper frame with thick foam tape. After applying some soft green and orange dye inks to my tree die cuts, I adhered them along the top underside of my scene as shown, before adding on my stamped images with foam tape.
Once my scene was complete, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Big Bear stamp set onto orange cardstock using Versamark ink before applying Gold Rush Embossing Powder and setting it with my heat tool. I then cut the sentiment out using one of the Large Sentiment Strip Dies and adhered it with foam tape to my card.
My card is now complete and I have a super cute scene!
Thanks for following along!
