Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Hello everyone! Samantha here today on the Pink and Main blog excited to share more adorable Christmas projects using the latest products from the new September release. Today I am sharing both a card and a gift tag using images from the new Sugar and Spice Holidays Stamp Set.

When I started this project I first planned on making just the card and so I stamped two of the gingerbread men images from the Sugar and Spice Holidays stamp set onto Copic X-Press It paper. I also thought it would be fun to create a scene for these little cookie people so I pulled out the gingerbread house from one of my all time favorite stamp sets, Gingerbread Kisses. After Copic coloring all images I cut them out using the Sugar and Spice Holidays Dies and the Gingerbread Kisses Dies and set them aside to work on my background.

To make my background, I cut a piece of pattern paper from The World to Me 6×6 Paper Pack to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ using a paper trimmer and adhered it to an A2 card-base made with lavender colored cardstock. Next, I cut another piece of lavender cardstock to 4.75″ x 3.5″ and a piece of white cardstock 4 5/8″ x 3 3/8″ and adhered them both to my main panel as shown above. Using lavender colored ink, I blended a soft background on the white panel before stamping my sentiment from the Gingerbread Kisses Stamp Set and adhering just one of my Gingerbread Men and the Gingerbread House with foam tape for dimension. I finished everything off with some Special Day Sticky Gems and my cute card was complete. But, now I had an adorable unused Gingerbread Man that needed to be featured.

What better way to use up scrap items than to create a gift tag!

I reached for my Thin Flag Banner Dies and I cut the same sized flag banner from both lavender cardstock and from a coordinating sheet of pattern paper from The World to Me Paper Pack. I then used the new Quilted Embossing Folder on my lavender flag banner for texture before cutting some holes in the top and adding some grommets with my Crop-O-Dile.

To finish everything off I heat embossed a white sentiment using a stamp from the new Winter Cardinals 2 Stamp Set onto lavender cardstock and I die cut it out using another banner die from the Card Cut Essentials Set 2 Dies. I adhered my Gingerbread Man and my sentiment and added some ribbon from my stash and I now have a card and coordinating tag to use for the holidays.

Thank you so much for reading!
