Hi again! Annie here with a card featuring some soon-to-be-released stamps from the “Birthday Wishes” set. You’re going to love this set…there are so many different birthday sentiments to choose from! And I chose quite a few when making this card:
I used the emboss resist technique to create these sentiment-covered and confetti-filled balloons. After tracing a quick outline of my balloon shapes to plan out where to place each image, I stamped them in Versamark ink and heat-embossed them using white embossing powder.
The balloons were created by blending a rainbow of Distress Inks over a stencil made with my Silhouette (more details on my blog). I used two colors for each balloon (a light and a dark) to create a shaded effect and add some dimension. I also overlapped them a bit to give the balloons a hint of translucency.
After adding some balloon strings, enamel bows, and a final sentiment stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink, I popped the whole panel up over some gold-foiled kraft cardstock from Bazzill.
I hope you enjoyed this card and will give these techniques a try…and be on the lookout for the new June stamp sets being released soon! For more details on cutting stencils with your Silhouette and a full supply list, please visit my blog.
