Stay Hoppy Shaker Fun

Hello, Crafty Friends! Samantha from @sammakescards here on the Pink and Main blog sharing a fun shaker card using the new Stay Hoppy stamp set. This stamp set is a collaboration with the talented Mommy Lhey and the little bear and her frog friend are both so adorable.

To start my card, I first stamped and colored my images on Copic-friendly cardstock before die cutting them with the matching Stay Hoppy Dies. Next, I select a piece of pattern paper from the new Bookworm 6×6 Paper Pad in a blue herringbone pattern to match with the blues in my little bear’s raincoat, cut to a 4″ x 5.25″ size. Instead of a traditional round cutout for my shaker, I decided to use a square die from the Layered Scallops Square Dies set arranged at an angle to make a diamond shape.

To assemble my shaker, I used double-sided tape to adhere a piece of acetate to the back of my pattern paper panel followed by thick foam tape. Next, I added a sequin mix in matching colors followed by a light blue cardstock panel also cut to 4″ x 5.25.”

Once my shaker panel was complete, I added it to an A2-sized card-base in yellow, before adding my die cut images to the front with a little foam tape. For the sentiment, I chose “Thinking of You” from the Stay Hoppy stamp set and stamped it in black ink onto white cardstock before cutting it out using the corresponding die.

My cute little shaker card is now complete, and even better… It actually shakes!!! They don’t always work out for me.

Thank you so much for reading!
