Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! It’s Donna here, and I’m so excited that the new release has all made its way to me here in Japan. One of my favourite things to do when I see the new release is to look at ways to combine the different elements.
Today’s card combines a stamp, a die, a paper and some dots all in the one card!
This card is actually very easy to construct. First, I used the yellow spotty paper from the ‘Thankful’ paper pad, (which is part of the current Crafty Courtyard subscription box) and blended some orange ink into the the centre. I used two pieces of paper because the slimline card is longer than the 6×6 paper pad. I just laid the die over the paper to judge where to blend; it doesn’t need to be exact!
I the cut the pieces from the spotty paper, and cut a white frame using the Sunburst Slimline Die. These is also a regular card sized Sunburst die if you prefer that card shape. My finished card is 3 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches, the exact size of the die. I put wide double sided tape over the whole card front and added the frame to this before putting the yellow pieces in like a jigsaw puzzle.
I stamped the sentiment in the middle from the Spotlight Sayings stamp set. This set has 13 different sentiments that are all designed to fit exactly in the centre of all the Sunbursts. I have stamped this and embossed in white on orange card. I then popped it up with foam tape.
Finally, I added the bling. These glitter enamel dots are called ‘Thankful’. It’s no coincidence that this is the same name as the paper pad, as the colours match perfectly.
This lovely sunny card is such a fun happy card to make. I hope you’ve enjoyed it too. Thank you for stopping by today.
Until next time,
Blessings,
