Hi friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and today I am sharing this colorful and fun fairy card! I am so in love with the Pixie Dust Stamp Set when I used it last week and I really wanted to use it again right away. This time I wanted to feature some of the other images so I started out by stamping the mushroom house, a large flower and one of the fairies with the Asphalt Premium Dye Ink on my favorite Copic coloring paper. I waited a few minutes to make sure that the ink was dry and then colored them all in with my Copic markers. I went for a pink/teal/purple color scheme and I had a lot of fun using the same colors in multiple places to keep all of the elements cohesive.
I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and then went to find some pattern paper that would fit into my scheme. I normally try to do this the other way around and color to match my paper but I like to change it up sometimes. I decided to layer two pages from the Year Round Dots and Stripes paper pack, a pink and a purple. I trimmed the pink panel to be 5.5 in x 4.25 in and the purple to be 5 in x 3.75 in to create a really nice, bold border. I used liquid glue to adhere the purple panel onto of the pink and then I stamped in my sentiment with the same black ink that we used earlier on the lower right corner.
Then it was time to figure out how to arrange my images and I quickly realized that the mushroom and the flower were not going to play well in the size panel that I had created so I will hold the flower for another card and I added the mushroom down flat with liquid glue as well. I wanted the fairy to stand out so I popped her up with foam tape and added a few pink gems from the Warm Jellies Gems wheel. I love how sweet and whimsical this stamp set is and I hope you are inspired to get crafty today too!!
