Snowflake Christmas

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and I’m celebrating the fact that I live in the northern hemisphere now by making ALL the snowflake cards for Christmas.

This card uses the Flurries stamp set, from a previous release from Pink and Main, and also the Bold Holidays sentiment stamp from the current release.

This was a relatively simple card to make, so I made ten! Using a stamping platform, I was able to position the snowflakes and sentiment once, and stamp them ten times! I stamped in Versamark clear ink, and then sprinkled on white embossing powder. I then melted the powder with my heat tool, and was ready to blend the inks.

The first couple of cards, I made on white cardstock, blending three different blues right to the centre of the paper. Then I remembered that I had some light blue cardstock that I had purchased here in Japan, so I cut that to size, and just blended the two darker colours, leaving the centre alone. This was much quicker, and I liked the effect just as much. Hopefully this can save you some time in the future!

Once I had finished blending, I rubbed over the embossing with my Scrub it Clean cloth, which really brightened up the whites and removed any stray ink from the snowflakes and sentiment. Finally, I spattered a mix of Perfect Pearls and water over the card panel, before mounting it onto a white card base.

The card in the photo below is actually a different card to the one in the top two photos, which shows how easily it is to make a matching set of cards using this technique!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing this lovely burst of cold Christmas goodness as much as I’ve enjoyed the anticipation of a cool winter coming.

Until next time, may you enjoy whatever weather you have at the moment, and may your hearts be sunny!

Blessings,

Donna
