Welcome Friends! I am so excited to be a guest designer for Pink and Main this month!! You are going to Love their New Release! There is something for everyone. I have lots to share over the next few weeks so check back often.
When I first saw the Fintastic Stamp and Die Set I couldn’t wait to get started. I started my card by stamping and coloring my fish and plants with Copic Markers. I used a rainbow of colors keeping the images bright and fun.
Next, I began creating my shaker element. I stamped the large fishbowl onto white cardstock (I masked off the rocks and waterline) and used the coordinating die to cut it out. Next, I used the inside die to create my opening (both dies are included, so you can have an opening or not). I then ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass for some shading. I also die cut a piece of clear acetate with the fishbowl die to create my window. For my back piece I ink blended Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and once again used the fish bowl die to cut it out. Once my window was attached I added foam adhesive around the outside of the fish bowl for the shaker to work properly.
Next, I added my die cut fish and plants to the back of my fishbowl. I then added small iridescent confetti to the inside of my shaker before closing it up. I mounted my fishbowl onto a piece of The Shore patterned paper and tucked the little fish into the top of the bowl (he looks like he is trying to escape). To finish my card I stamped my sentiment onto a white strip of cardstock.
Thanks Again to Pink and Main for allowing me to be a Guest Designer this month. I hope you all enjoyed my card. Please feel free to ask any questions or leave a comment! I really appreciate it. I will be back soon with another card for Pink & Main.
Enjoy your day,
Dana
