Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with a sneak peek for Pink and Main’s new February release. My card today actually uses two new sets and one older one but the new ones are releasing on February 20. Get excited.
To start off, I used the Eyelet Cover die to dry emboss onto white cardstock. For my A2 panel, I decided to trim it down a quarter of an inch on the top and side. I love how I can use this background die to either cut or emboss. It adds really pretty texture for a subtle background. I wanted the main focus to be the stamp images.
I stamped out one of the bouquets from the new Sweet Bouquet stamp set. Isn’t it really pretty? I also decided to pair this bouquet with the new Pretty Jars stamp set so the flowers weren’t floating on the card. For the jar, I wanted to manipulate it a little bit by using an Exacto knife to cut a slit in the jar so I could insert the flowers. You can’t really tell from the photos but I added masking tape over the jar so it gave the shininess of a real jar.
In the Pretty Jars stamp and die set, it includes a die for a banner and the sentiments in the set fit perfectly. It’s such a simple card but the background die gives the card subtle interest while allowing the main stamped images to stand out.
Continue to stop by Pink and Main’s blog this week to see more inspiration from the design team.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the sneak peeks. Come back again soon for some more inspiration and ideas!
