Hi Friends! This is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am beyond excited to share this sneak peek with you for Friday’s release. The Christmas Streamers stamp set is the perfect combination of fun, elegant and festive and I knew immediately that I wanted to use it for a slimline card. I started out with a piece of Pebble card stock that I trimmed down to 8.5in x 3.5in and prepped it with the Magic Anti Static Brush. Using a stamping platform, I lined up the new Christmas Streamers stamp along the left side of the card with the bottom of the streamers falling about a half inch from the bottom edge. I stamped the image there with the Embossing Watermark Ink and then added the new Cranberries glitter embossing powder and heat set it. This embossing powder is the most beautiful color, its a darker cool read and I have some big plants for it, not just for Christmas. I cleaned the stamp off and shifted it over so that the pattern continues across the remainder of the card and repeated the process.
Once all of the powder was melted I used the second largest of the Stitched Slimline Dies to cut out the panel. I cut a piece of Stop Sign card stock to be 8.5 in x 7in and scored it at 3.5 in to create a card base and adhered the embossed panel to the center. I wanted to add a die cut sentiment to the panel so I borrowed the “May your days be merry and bright” stamp from one of the other new sets and I heat embossed it with Frosting embossing powder . I used the coordinating die to cut out the sentiment as well as a scrap of the Stop Sign card stock with nothing on it. I layered the red piece below the tan one and offset it so that the red peeks out to the left and bottom. I really love how the red border helps the sentiment pop against the designs behind it. I adhered the sentiment stack to the panel and grabbed the Essential Pearls embellishment wheel. I used the EZ Squeeze liquid glue to add little dots of glue to some of the open circles in the stamped design and added the tiny cream colored pearls for a little extra pop of shine. I am so in love with how this card turned out and I think it would be super easy to make in multiples for the holidays. I can’t wait for you to see the new release – its so beautiful!
