Hi Crafty friends,
This is Sylvie @kaliscards!
If you like making great shakers, the new release has great supplies you’ll want to have!
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, there are 28 new confetti pockets. Those are beautiful sequins in a variety of colors and finishes (opaque, iridescent, foiled, etc.). But that’s not it. There are also 4 different shaker covers to create quick infinity shakers: Small shaker 3.75 by 5 inches, A2 4.25 by 5.5 inches, Minislim 3.5 by 6 inches and Slimline 3.5 by 8.5 inches.
For my cards, I used the minislim format and for the background, I used the stunning Colorful Ink Spots new paper pad. It is sized 6 by 6 inches and is perfect for most shaker cover sizes.
The cute critters are from the new set A gift for you. For the sentiments, I used the new Birthday sentiments dies which I die cut from black glitter cardstock. For the shaker bits, I used the new Confetti collection and matched the colors with the backgrounds:
1- Gypsy, Seafoam, Lilac, Aquamarine, Delphinium
2- Salmon, Prom dress, Flamingo, Ruby slippers, Eggnog, Aquamarine
3- Glass slippers, Oceanside, Seafoam, Sunshine, Gypsy
Like I said those supplies are designed to make shaker creation as easy as possible. Basically, all you have to do is cut the back panel from cardstock or pattern paper like I did, the same size as the shaker cover, just slightly smaller, so it fits nicely.
Then, fold the sides of the shaker cover, along the score lines to crease them, remove the backing of the bottom flap, position your back panel at the back, nice side facing down and close the bottom flap onto the panel. Repeat for the 2 long side flaps. Then pour your shaker mix and close the shaker adhering the top flap.
Next, you will need to adhere the shaker cover onto your cardbase and adhere the images and sentiment of your choice. Could it be any simpler? What’s great about these infinity shaker covers, is that they allow a lot of space for the bits to move a lot!
Hope you love shakers like me and you see how these supplies make crafting so much easier.
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty time!
