Hi again! Annie here with a shaker card made using the new “Bear Hugs” and “Somebunny” stamp sets released this month. I was inspired by the upcoming 4th of July holiday, but if you’re not from the United States, I think red, white, and blue are also just gorgeous summertime colors!
I started by stamping the little boy image from the “Bear Hugs” set in waterproof ink and colored him in with watercolor markers. The sentiment (from “Somebunny“) was then heat embossed in white on a stitched flag shape cut from some red cardstock.
I created my shaker element by adhering some leftover acetate packaging to the back of a panel of patterned paper that I die-cut with a stitched circle die. Then I added foam tape around the circle, dropped in some red, white, and blue sequins and stars, and mounted the whole panel on top of a piece of royal blue cardstock.
I finished the card off with a small twist of red, white, and blue twine and attached the entire card front to a heavy white cardbase. For full supply details, please head on over to my blog.
