Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here. Still at home. Still in Tokyo. Still making cards!!! I have a card today that uses stamping, ink blending, die cutting, embellishments and watercolour all in the one card. Hold onto your hats!
I created this card in a few layers. At the back, there is a watercolour background with loose stripes of rainbow colours. I painted each colour before the previous colour dried, so that the colours would run into each other and give me even more of a rainbow. I did two layers, then once they were dry, I covered parts of the card loosely with my hand, and then splashed on some more of each colour. And then washed my hands. But hey, I’m doing that all day anyway.
Next, I used the Postage Dies to cut four stamp shapes. I then inked the edges using the Ergonomic Blending Brush. By tilting the brush a little, I was able to blend onto the smaller pieces just fine. I concentrated the ink at the edges, and faded out towards the centre. I then chose some of the sweet smaller images from the Ears to You stamp set to put onto the little stamps. I scattered the stamps across the card, matching the colours, and popped them up with foam tape when I was happy with where they were ‘scattered’.
The final touches were the sentiment from the same stamp set, and the sweet Enchanted Garden Enamel Shapes. I glued my watercolour panel to a white card base and the card was finished.
I hope you are all safe and well. Stay crafty, and I’ll be chatting with you soon.
Blessings,
Pretty! Love the rainbow background!
Have a great day!

This is gorgeous! Love the colors you used. And the cute little “stamps” in the middle are perfect with the enamel shapes. I’m going to give this idea a try after I finish a batch of TP cards I’m doing for some friends birthdays. Thanks for the inspiration!
