Good morning and welcome back! Laurie here to share a card that features one of the beautiful floral dies that are available in the shop!
P&M recently released three flower builder dies, the Mum Dies, the Daisy Dies and the Pansy Dies. I used the beautiful Pansy for my project today.
I die cut all the flower pieces from Strathmore Mixed Media paper. I love this paper as it is bright white, heavy weight and smooth! Plus, it takes water beautifully! I chose a variety of Distress Inks and watercolored each die cut.
These dies are very easy to assemble. I just referenced the photo included in the packaging. I die cut a white panel using the second largest die in the Stitched Rectangles Set 2. I placed the panel into my Misti, set the flower die cut on top and placed a sentiment from the new Just Because Sentiment Set.
I heat embossed this first stamping so it would pop off the cardstock! I removed the Pansy die and continued stamping the sentiment in a light grey ink. This is very easy to do. Using the grid paper in your Misti, simply slide the cardstock panel up or down following the squares. In this case, it was every quarter inch, or one square.
I really lucked out by not having a partial stamped sentiment on either the top of bottom of the panel. Pure Luck!!! For the tiny embellishments, I took a scrap of cardstock, swiped it with my Versamark ink and applied the same embossing powder I had used for the sentiment. After heat setting, I took a 1/8th circle punch and punched out a few dots! Easy peasy!
I foam mounted the Pansy onto the stamped panel then foam mounted that to a grey card base and called it done!
This was such a fun card to make and I’m really hoping Michelle comes out with more of these floral dies…hint, hint 🙂
Thanks so much for dropping by! See you soon!
