Hi everyone,
Ilina here this morning with another sneak peek of the September release.
For my card today I used the new set called Eskimo Kisses. Before I go onto my card, wanted to mention that the September release goes live on the 20th (Thursday).
To make my card I started by cutting a frame using the Stitched rounded rectangle dies from masking paper and adhered onto piece of white card stock. Next I die cut the bear and the ice from masking paper too. I arranged all the masking pieces onto the white card stock and created the ink blended background for my sky (I used pink, purple and navy shades). Once my background was done I splattered some white paint and some shimmer to it. Let it dry.
All the masking and leaving white border around the stamped image creates sense of dimension, but leaving the card still flat (one layer) and easy to mail.
Once it was dry, I removed all the masking paper (there will be white spot left for the bear and the ice. I stamped the bear, then masked it off (created another mask) and stamped the ice, so it appears as the bear is sitting on the ice. Colored the image with copics (you can use any coloring medium of choice).
Stamped the sentiment in black and trimmed the white panel down to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Using fun foam I adhered it to a top folding black note card.
