Scratch off gender reveal card

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, snuggled up (so happily) in Tokyo, doubly happy because my computer is back from the dead, and I can share this card with you. I have a fun gender reveal card today. This time, it’s more of a postcard, with a lovely blue and pink plaid background. And the best part? It’s interactive! Read on…

In order to make this card, I have combined some older Pink and Main products with a brand new one! Let’s start from the papers. The plaid is from the Year Round Plaids Set, and the glitter paper is also from Pink and Main, with the pink coming from the Summer Glitter Pack and the Blue from the Winter Pack.

I used the Thin Alpha Dies to cut the sparkly letters and the Fun Balloons Dies to cut balloons – three from the glitter paper, one from white card stock and one from a fun new product which is a sheet of Scratch-Off Sticker Sheets. I used the silver for this card, but there is also gold in the pack. You can also buy these stickers as individual round stickers if you don’t want to cut your own. I used the Thin Alpha stamps to stamp boy and girl before cutting the white cardstock. You can see the steps below. I took some photos as I went because I knew they would be hidden by the stickers.

Once I had the balloons cut out, I peeled off the backing on the Scratch-Off sticker sheet and stuck it over my balloon, being sure to remember which was which! They really do give good coverage. There’s no way you can see through them! I used a piece of white card which I cut with the second largest of the Stitched Rectangles 1 dies, glueing all the elements down flat except the top balloon.

As part of the release there are also fun little “Scratchers” for doing the scratching off. I’ve added one in blue and one in pink, just for fun. You can see the blue one in the photo above.

I hope that you’re having a super day, and that you’re finding time to get crafty!

Until next time,

Blessings,

Donna
