Scattered Stamping for Background | Pumpkin Spice

Hello Everyone and welcome to Pink and Main blog!

It’s Ksenija here this morning and I will share several tips on making a card with scattered stamping on background.

Scattered Stamping Background

For my today’s card I used one set of clear stamps and co-ordinating dies – Pumpkin Spice.

I have recently blogged about Out of Frame Scattered Stamping Technique and today I will explain a technique which you can use if you are low on time and would like to skip colouring of many images.

Scattered Stamping for Background

I started with stamping a sentiment from Pumpkin Spice stamps set in Distress ink and heat embossing it with fine clear powder.

To create a background for the focal image I masked off the upper and lower parts of a white card stock panel and blended onto the open space a mix of Distress inks. To create a warm autumnal ink blend I used Distress inks in Dried Marigold, Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany.

To achieve a crisp stamped impressions I heat set the blended background with a heat gun.

Then I put my panel in the center of the MISTI Stamping Tool and positioned three stamps on the right side of the pane. Inked the stamps with Fired Brick Distress ink and stamped them down onto the panel.

To repeat stamping I simply moved the card panel within the MISTI Tool to the right and stamped all three images at once down onto the left side of the panel.

The focal image – a toll latte with whipped cream is stamped in alcohol marker friendly ink and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.

To assemble the card I popped the panel up with a foam tape and used a super thick foam tape to adhere the Latte glass.

I added a bit of Glossy Accents to caramel syrup drops on the cream.

Yummy!

Thank you you so much for stopping by and have a great day!
