Savannah Learns to Color #45: Warm Winter Wishes

Hello, Pink & Main friends and fans!

It’s Savannah O’Gwynn, and I’m back to share a quick colored creation using the newest P&M products and release!!! Remember THIS post when I said I had a SECRET project that I was proud of???? Well… this is the card!!!

Q: Why can’t I wait to share this creation!?!

A: I didn’t make ONE mistake on it!!! I stamped it, colored it, die cut it… all without any issues or coloring mistakes! HOOOOOOORAY🎉🎉🎉 think I might be getting the hang of coloring:) I guess it’s a good idea to NEVER GIVE UP! I will also say— it probably won’t happen again! LOL!

SLTC#45, Colored Image #48 + Lessons Learned + Mistakes

SLTC#45 image #48: I am really enjoying this new release of winter snowman! And these NEW Cozy Winter patterned papers are the PERFECT match!!!

Techniques used: This was another simple card to put together! Here’s a list of the techniques used on this card:

  • Coloring
  • Layering
  • Using patterned papers
  • Stenciling
  • Mixing and Matching- this is one of my FAVORITE techniques to use when creating cards! I love mixing and matching stamps, sentiments, papers, colors, images, and MORE!
  • Stamping/die cutting 🙂

LL (Lessons Learned) + Mistakes: Coloring a snowman had me nervous… I’m not sure why I was nervous about coloring a snowman… snow is white! So does it even need “coloring”? LOL! I think the answer is YES!!! And what I learned about coloring a snowman is that you can use two very light blues or greys to achieve a shadow that makes the white snow POP! I loooooooooooove how this snowman turned out!!!

#mistakes: I am not sure I really made any mistakes… well, you can’t see it because I covered it with patterned paper;) My mistake was that I didn’t wait for the white ink to dry before messing with the cardbase. This smears the ink. NOOOOOOOOO worries though— the solution is to cover up whatever is smeared:)

As for coloring— as I mentioned before, this is the cad that I didn’t make ONE mistake on while coloring and didn’t have to color AGAIN🎉🎉🎉 I colored it once and was done!!! Isn’t that awesome?!?!?! I guess I am learning how to color and my coloring is getting better 🎉🎉🎉

I hope this holiday card inspires you to pull out your P&M goodies and create a something today! Keep coloring and practicing— you are doing great!!!!

I’ll be back with MORE soon💌

Please remember to share what you create using these techniques, if you are learning to color with me, or if you use these P&M stamp/die sets so I can leave you some love ❤️

THANKS so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!!!

Hugs ❤️ Savannah
