Hello, Pink & Main friends and fans!
It’s Savannah O’Gwynn, and I’m back to share a colored creation using the newest P&M products and release!!! I think this is my MOST favorite design from this release— very outdoorsy, masculine, and perfect for my husband (we just celebrated 18 years together on Sunday)!!!
SLTC#42, Colored Image #45 + Lessons Learned + Mistakes

SLTC#42 image #45: I pulled out several different NEW P&M goodies for this card!! And opposite of my previous purple raccoon image (click HERE)… I went with a realistic coloring and design this time!
I’ve noticed that my “shading” and “shadows” for coloring needed some work. I hate to say this, but I had to copy someone to learn how to shade on this image [THANKS, Samantha for your inspiration and card! Click HERE for her project!]. I guess copying is the highest form of flattery- LOL!
LL (Lessons Learned) + Mistakes: This little card and image taught me a few things about coloring/creating:
- Adding dots for the sand/dirt under the fireplace adds interest and dimension (again, THANKS, Samantha!)
- If you add the wrong color and it’s light enough… you can color over it without anyone noticing #almostamistake
**NOTE: I colored the raccoon with a very light gray/peach color first. I thought it would look ok, but it didn’t. So I moved to the next hue of gray in the lineup. It worked out PERFECTLY! No mistake, just a lesson learned! LOL!
- Adding a very light blue ink around the image will help it pop on white paper! I have seen many color images with light blue ink around it, but I didn’t think I could do it myself! WRONG! I did it!! This ink really helps the raccoon image pop since it’s a one layer element!!! So fun!

I hope my realistic raccoon image has inspired you to pull out your P&M goodies and create a something today!
Shhhhh- SECRET
I cannnnnot wait to share one of my newest creations; I will be posting it in the coming weeks for the November release!!!
Q: Why can’t I wait to share this creation!?!
A: I didn’t make ONE mistake on it!!! I stamped it, colored it, die cut it… all without any issues or coloring mistakes! HOOOOOOORAY! I think I might be getting the hang of coloring:) I guess it’s a good idea to NEVER GIVE UP! I will also say— it probably won’t happen again! LOL!
I’ll be back with MORE soon
Please remember to share what you create using these techniques, if you are learning to color with me, or if you use these P&M stamp/die sets so I can leave you some love
THANKS so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!!!
Hugs Savannah
