Hello, Pink & Main friends and fans!
It’s Savannah O’Gwynn, and I’m back to share a creation using the newest P&M goodies, as well as the Water Gems Sparkling Watercolors!
SLTC#36, Colored Image #38 + Lessons Learned
I had an idea after creating my last card and “coloring” by adding shading to colored cardstock (see THIS post)…
#LessonLearned– I figured if THAT was considered coloring then why not consider WATERCOLORING coloring too? LOL 🙃
I looooooooooove these Water Gems Sparkling Watercolors— they are bold, shiny, glittery, and so fun to use! I haven’t watercolored in a while, so it was fun to play around with mixing colors and adding layers of colors to these images from the P&M Pumpkin Patch Cuties set.
#LessonLearned– I think I struggle with waiting for watercolors to dry before adding more color or a different color, which causes the colors to bleed. This #mistake doesn’t really bother me, but every time I tell myself to STOP! WAIT TO ADD COLOR!!! I don’t listen to myself😂
#TIP: You might see a small gold bow on the bear’s pumpkin— this was created by separating the P&M Golden Twine. When separated, it creates two gold strands and around 4 white strands of thread!
#TIP: Add a bit of fun by stamping the image on patterned paper and fussy cutting the accents to add to your watercolored images! I did this for the animals’ scarves. SO FUN!
I hope my card and tips have inspired you to pull out your P&M goodies and create a watercolored card today!
I’ll be back with MORE soon! Please remember to share what you create using these techniques, if you are learning to color with me, or if you use these P&M stamp/die sets so I can leave you some love ❤️
THANKS so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!!!
Hugs ❤️ Savannah
