Hello, Pink & Main friends and fans!
It’s Savannah O’Gwynn, and I’m back to share a SUPER QUICK, CAS card inspired by Carly Tee using the NEW P&M Flamillion stamp set— no other sets or dies used!!!

Carly always creates such clean and simple cards, some that are one layer. I love trying new designs and techniques… so I tried a one layer card with a stamped image that has just one colored image… well, I ended up coloring TWO images 🙃
Here’s how to create a card just like this:
- Cut cardbase to size
- Stamp image(s) and sentiment
- Color image (or multiple images); add white lines and dots for emphasis
- Add splatters using paint (I used black paint that was watered down)
- Add Touch of Gloss and glitter for extra dimension
EASY!!!!!!!!!!!! You can use these steps with ANY P&MM stamp set to create a similar card!
Lessons Learned
- I have only bought a certain amount of alcohol ink pens. I think I’m ready to expand my collection as I keep grabbing the SAME pens for coloring themes- for example, I use the same two red pens for hearts. I learned that I might be advancing enough (still VERY NEW- LOL!) to buy MORE pens!!! **NOTE: Good news! P&M sells OLO pens!! I might have to invest in a whole set of these alcohol pens:)
- I also forgot that opening pens over your project are a BAD idea! Didn’t I say I would remember that last time!? LOL! This is the last time I will learn this– hopefully!
- And finally I learned that with a ONE layer card it’s important to go SLOW when coloring. I didn’t want to mess up (like I usually do) and have to start over. I did grab the wrong purple for the bathing suit (#mistake). I wanted to go with a lighter purple suit but ended up grabbing the darkest purple marker. A quick fix for that was to use two other darker purples, making the suit a dark purple design. Not what I wanted but works;)
- OH!!! One more lesson— I realized it’s ok to be inspired by other artists! I know I’ve said that before. I believe this lesson and have been inspired by lots of artists during my 12 years of crafting. Sometimes I need a little extra push to keep my mojo going. Plus, you might end up trying a new technique when you are inspired by a different artist! Give it a try!!!
I hope my card has inspired you to pull out your P&M goodies and create a one layer, CAS card!! Maybe you will only use one stamp set!!! **NOTE: I think this is the SMALLEST list of supplies for a card I’ve used here on the P&M blog— only 5 supplies TOTAL 😂
