Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here. With Rainbows!
Now, with the August release, we really do have exactly the right sentiment for every occasion, don’t we? I have a card for you today that features the die that cuts out the banners just as much as the sentiments themselves.
To make this card, I first blended a rainbow of Distress Inks over a piece of Bristol Smooth paper. I then spattered this piece with Perfect Pearls mixed in with a little water to give the card some shimmer.
Next came the die cutting. I laid one of the larger dies from the Sentiment Strip Dies diagonally across the card panel and ran it through my cutting machine. I continued with the strip dies, using a piece of ruled paper to give me even spacing. As I got to the edges of the card, I ‘interviewed’ the smaller dies for each position, laying them onto the card until I found one that gave me the spacing I wanted at both the top/bottom and the side. I then popped the panel up onto a white A4 card base with foam tape.
The sentiment is in two parts. The Celebrate die is from an earlier release, and is one of my go to dies. I cut this three times from white card and layered them up to give some dimension. The ‘I knew you could do it’ is from the Going Places stamp set. This sentiment! Words that speak life and hope into those we love! It’s brilliant.
It’s always a pleasure to pop in and share cards here, and I hope you’ve been inspired to create.
Until next time, may you be both encouraged and an encourager!
Blessings,
Donna
