Hi everyone! I’m back again to share another card with you today. Previously, I’m used the Quilt Square 1 die to create square cards, where I die cut a colorful cardstock and replaced the border with a white border die cut. Check out my previous post if you’re interested.
Today, I decided to use only the inlaid pieces to create a card. It seems hard to get everything in place, but it really isn’t. You just need the die cut border and carefully glue the inlaid pieces in place. To create this main background, I just used some watercolor paper and added a ton of colors to it. It’s all blended because I added a ton of water, but it looks soft and pretty.
I originally placed the quilt square on pink cardstock but I decided I wanted to add more interested to the cardstock. I pulled out the Stitched Rectangles 2 die set and used the largest in the set (measured at 4.0 x 5.25). I liked how the stitching matches the stitching on the quilt pieces as well. I like how these cuts a little less than a normal A2 panel, so I matted it with kraft cardstock.
I used the same kraft cardstock with the Congrats die. I added a little ink to the sentiment to darken it up a little to stand out against the background and added some glossy accents to it to give it dimension and shine. It’s a very simple card, but it uses the Quilt Square 1 die in a different way and makes for an easy card.
I hope you enjoyed the card today and next week, we’ll be sharing some sneak peeks of the new release… you won’t want to miss it!
See you next time!
