It’s one week until Valentine’s Day and I still need to make a bunch of notes for my son’s kindergarten class! I made a quick video showing how I made a bunch of ink blended Valentines with Pink & Main stamps, dies, and stencils!
I like to find little “cheats” when I’m mass producing to make things go faster. I don’t like to sacrifice color – I really love bright colors! – but I am not quick with coloring images. Black and white images it is! I decided to keep all the pretty colors in the background since ink blending is quick and effortless. I die cut panels using the Notched Corners Die Set and used a rainbow of inks and an Ergonomic Blending Brush to blend over the first layer of the Conversation Hearts Stencil Set and then used slightly darker shades of ink for the second layer for a tone on tone look.
I stamped all of the images from the One Smart Cookie Stamp Set along with their punny sentiments. I used the One Smart Cookie Die Set to cut out the images and the Large Sentiment Strip Die Set to cut out the sentiments. I used the Notched Corners Die Set to cut out the next largest shape and created some easy shaped cards.
I added my stenciled panels, images, and sentiment strips with foam tape and that’s it! Quick, easy, and super cute Valentines! Remember to check out my video here!
