Hello! It’s Andrea here, and I’m very excited to share my first project as a DT member. I played with the adorable Catitude stamp that will be available on July 10th.
I stamped those adorable kitties with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics before cutting them out with the coordinating dies. The kitty on the right has music notes in the stamp set, but I used my scissors to trim them off to give him/her a little more attitude. To create the butterfly, I used the heart stamp in the set and stamped it twice with the points touching before drawing a body with a black pen. (I’m sorry I didn’t think to photograph this step)
To create my sky, I tore a paper towel, placed it onto a panel of Bristol paper, and inked it up with Salty Ocean distress ink. I love how it creates soft, fluffy clouds – don’t they look realistic?!
For the grass, I ink-blended Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles distress ink onto Bristol paper and die-cut it with the Scallop Waves Dies.
I adhered my sky and grass to a white card and popped up the cute kitties with foam tape. I bent up the wings of the butterfly and added a drop of liquid adhesive to the body to attach it to my card. Onto a strip of black cardstock, I white heat-embossed a sentiment from Catitude and adhered the strip to my card.
Have a purr-fect day! Don’t forget – all of the new products will be available in the shop on July 10th.
