Hello, everyone! It’s Lynnea and I have a duo of watercolored cards to share with you! I used a bunch of images from the new Pumpkin Spice stamp set!
I love wreath patterns and I am so excited that they are all the rage right now! I’ve never used a fancy stencil or anything to make them, I’ve just always done it myself! Haha! They are really quite simple to make! So simple that I made two! You could make a bunch if you wanted to!
I find it easiest to use a stamp positioner, but you don’t have to! I’ve used a regular acrylic block and stamped a wreath pattern! I used my MISTI and started with a piece of 5 inch square watercolor cardstock. I put it in the corner of my MISTI and started with the pie stamp from the Pumpkin Spice stamp set. For the orangey-peach card I lined up the pie so that it was straight and the tip was towards the center of my square cardstock. I used Versafine Onyx black ink and stamped the top right pie piece. Then I turned my cardstock a quarter turn and stamped again. I repeated this twice until I had four pie pieces. I used clear embossing powder to heat emboss them. It makes it super easy for me to keep my watercolor in the lines!
Once I had my base images (the pie) stamped I just started adding in the yummy goodies one by one. I would position the stamp, ink and stamp, turn, ink and stamp again until I had all four turns complete. I kept stamping and turning until my whole card panel was full.
I used the same technique for the minty-green piece, except that I stamped my first pie image on a diagonal. I didn’t do this for any particular reason…I just didn’t know which pattern I would like better! I used watercolors to color the panels and to make my life easier I colored all the images the same. The only thing I did differently was the background color. I couldn’t choose which color I wanted, so I did one of each!
I added some Glossy Accents here and there on different areas of my card and white heat embossed a sentiment onto black cardstock. I die cut it using a Stitched Rectangle die ( and some creative die cutting to shorten the rectangle ) and added a bunch of glitter with my Wink of Stella pen.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards!
delish!
