Hello friends. It’s Donna here, with a sneak peek for you. I have had such a lovely time playing with the Pretty Jars stamp set. The images are so whimsical.
I decided to pair the flower image to some of the lovely Watercolor Foil paper, so the first thing I did was to choose watercolour markers to suit the paper of my choice, which was the beautiful purple stripe.
I stamped the images onto watercolour paper in clear embossing ink, and heat embossed them in white. I didn’t do any masking, as the jar would be transparent.
I coloured the image with a range of watercolour markers – three different brands- from my stash. I coloured the jar in three layers. Firstly a very pale wash over the whole jar, right to the top, then a deeper shade of blue for the water, and finally some green for the water, covering the left side of the water. I used lots of water, and let the paint ‘bloom’ for a watery look.
The sentiment is from the same Pretty Jars stamp set, and I finished the card off with some pale sequins.
I love the soft look of the overall card, and will be using this set again in the very near future!
I hope this has inspired you to break out the watercolours, and create cards of your own.
Until next time, may your days be full of flowers.
Blessings,
This is simply stunning!!!
So beautiful!
