Hello, hello and welcome back! Laurie joining you this morning with a pool shaped card. In other words, a circle card!

I’ve used one of my favourite sets from this release and that’s the Summer Sloths Stamp Set. I love everything about this, from the images to the sentiments!
I really wanted to create a “pool” shaped card using the sloth on the beach towel. In this case, it becomes a floaty. I chose two different sizes of circles from the Layered Circles Dies. I cut a piece of white cardstock using the smaller one. To make the “water”, I used the ink smooshing technique along with Broken China and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Inks. I did add a bit of shimmer spray and white gel pen but it’s not very noticeable.
To create the frame, I placed the smaller inside the larger circle and kept them together with a couple pieces of washi tape. After running them through with a piece of grey cardstock, you get a thin little frame.

To make the card base, I took a pre-made card base, lined up the larger of the two circle dies by leaving just a bit of the die hanging off. Make sure this is on the folded side of the card base! You get the perfect circle shaped card!
I adhered the grey ring to the card base first, then placed my “water” inside. I foam mounted the sweet sloth and stamped the sentiment. The sentiment actually comes from the Beach Unicorn Set but it worked perfectly here!!

To make the card stand, cut off a little on the back panel. I did add some gel pen details and some clear sequins to finish things off!
Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!!
