Good afternoon, friends!! Laurie here to share a clean and simple card that could be given for Christmas or any winter occasion! And to keep it interesting, I’ve used a non-Christmas stamp set for this.
I chose a house image from the Pink Avenue Stamp Set. This particular house did not have any flowers in the windows so I thought it would work perfectly. I coloured with my alcohol markers and used the co-ordinating dies to cut everything out.
To create a “picture frame” look, I used the second largest of the Cloudy Frames Dies. I die cut it once from white cardstock and once from kraft. On the white panel, I used a couple of blue Distress Ink colours to blend a sky. I adhered my images along with a snowbank cut using one of the Scallop Waves Dies (on sale, by the way). After the scene was placed, I mixed white acrylic paint with water and using a small paint brush, heavily splattered the entire scene.
I stamped the sentiment from the Flurries Stamp Set directly onto the card front. To add a bit of extra detail, I scored the card front every quarter of an inch. I love the look of that simple detail!
All that was left to do was pop up my snowy scene. I didn’t even add any embellishments!!
Thank you so much for dropping by! See you soon!
Laurie
