Piece of my heart

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here today with a super sweet love card – not only for Valentine’s Day, but perfect as a simple “just because” too. I really believe that we have to grab every opportunity to tell our loved ones how much they mean to us.

I started with stamping and colouring the images from the To pieces stamp set using Copic markers. I went with warm grey and really vivid pink, I love these two together. I made extra pieces of the puzzle and hearts to fill the scene. When I was done, I cut everything with the coordinating dies.

I stamped the sentiment on pink cardstock and cut it out with the Puzzle heart die. I wonder how come I have never used this die before, it is simply gorgeous!

For the background I chose a cheerful patterned paper from the Beach babe paper pad. I adhered it to a white card base and added a little smaller piece of vellum to mute the colours. I attached it with two thin strips of aqua cardstock and adhered the puzzle heart. I could hide the adhesive this way under the covered areas so it is invisible.

After popping up the bears with 3D foam tape and assembling the scene I added clear shimmer to the hearts and glossy accents to the puzzle pieces the bears hold. Aren’t they cute?

And by the way, the To pieces stamp and die bundle is at a great price now in the shop!
