Pattern Maker Chevrons

Hello, everyone! It’s Lynnea! I made a card using the new Pattern Maker and Diggity Dog stamp sets! I just love geometric designs, so I thought I would make a chevron background for my card!

I used my MISTI to make positioning and stamping super easy! I started by drawing a line down the center of my card base so that I could properly position the widest solid stripe stamp from the Pattern Maker set. I positioned it on the left side of my card on a diagonal so that the bottom tip of the stamp was lined up with the pencil line I had drawn down the center of the card. I used my MISTI and moved my card panel up and down 3/4 of an inch and inking up the stamp with my Street Light ink.

Once the the whole left side of my card was stamped with stripes I removed the stamp from my MISTI and repositioned it on the right side of my card. I repeatedly stamped the stripe again using Sunny Sky ink. I love how the stripes overlap in the center to make a green!

Once the background panel is complete I stamped a dog and bone image from the Diggity Dog stamp set onto watercolor cardstock and colored them with watercolor markers. I also stamped a coordinating sentiment onto black cardstock with white embossing powder. I used the matching Diggity Dog dies to cut out my images and also cut out 4 extras of the dog and bone from regular white cardstock. I glued them all together so that my images would have even dimension. Often I like the look of this better than adding foam tape. I thought this card still needed something, so I grabbed the Pink & Main Hello Die set and cut out the hello 5 times from white cardstock and glued them together to make a sentiment embellishment.

I added a bit of shimmer to the dog, bone, hello die, and sentiment strip and glued everything into place! Thanks for joining me for this card! See you soon!
