Hello crafty friends it’s Joy here. I am so excited about the June release, there are so many wonderful products! I decided to use one stamp set (Waves Of Cheer) to create three cards. The solid images are fantastic and I thought I would share different designs with the images. I also used some of the brand new stencils to create fantastic backgrounds. I hope you enjoy the cards!
I used the Curly Waves stencil with pink and yellow ink to create the background, I then splattered it with gold metallic watercolor (from my stash). I trimmed down the card panel slightly smaller than an A2 size card. Now for the stamped image..I’m using the mermaid tail from the Waves Of Cheer stamp set. I used a purple, teal and light teal ink. I Stamped the ink pads onto the stamp, starting with the lightest color, I used a blender brush on the stamp to blend the colors together. Then I stamped the image onto the white cardstock. I repeated this a couple of times to get a good stamped image.
I stamped the sentiment from the Floral Shells stamp set and gold heat embossed it. I finished the card with the Ahoy Enamel Dots.
I used the Nautilus Stencil for this background. I used a transparent texture paste mixed with Saltwater Taffy and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Inks. I spread it over the stencil and set it aside to dry. I stamped the shell, sand dollar and starfish and white heat embossed them. Then took the distress oxide inks and ink blended over the embossed images. When I was done, I gently wiped the ink off the embossing powder.
Once the background was dry, I splattered with the metallic gold watercolor and added a white strip of cardstock. I adhered the images and the gold heat embossed sentiment (from the Waves Of Cheer stamp set). I finished the card with gold sequins.
For the final card, I used the bubbly waves stencil on white cardstock with white heat embossing. I like the look of white on white. I then splattered the background with blue ink and metallic gold watercolor. I stamped and heat embossed the Seahorse from the Waves Of Cheer stamp set with the Sea Glass embossing powder. I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment from the Floral Shells stamp set.
