Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here . I hope that you are enjoying the new release. I am still enjoying the anticipation of awaiting its arrival!!! So instead, I have a set of notecards for you that are a lovely gift for a friend. Each of the cards has the same basic construction but all have their own colour scheme. I love making sets like this, and not having sentiments means that the recipient can give them away as they please.
The feature images for the cards are the lovely Floral Shells stamps. I blended some inks in two similar colours onto some scraps of cardstock, and allowed this to dry well. I then prepped each piece of now coloured card with by Pink and Main anti static brush, and stamped the shell images with clear embossing ink. I sprinkled these with Frosting Embossing Powder, which is a crisp white, shook the excess back into the jar. I then heat set the powder, and cut the images with the matching Floral Shell dies.
The frames around the shells are made with the Reverse Scallop Rectangle dies. I chose the die that would just frame the shells with only a little border, and cut those from white card. Both the shells and frames are popped up with foam tape.
The background papers come from a 6 x 6 paper pack called Butterfly Kisses. This set has a lot of fun bright butterfly prints and stripes but it also has some beautiful soft ombre sheets and these soft bokeh look dotted papers that I’ve used for today’s set of cards.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed looking at another way to use these beautiful stamps and matching dies. They’re gorgeous when coloured, but they also stand alone as a feature images when used in this way.
Until next time, may your days be filled with beauty.
Blessings
Donna
