Hey everyone. It’s Dana with you today. I’m sharing a floral card using the new Mums dies from Pink and Main. This is such a beautiful die set and the way you can build up your flower is amazing. For my card I pulled out some yellow card stock and die cut out a few of the mums in different sizes. Next I added some abandoned coral distress oxide inks to the tips of each petal. Next I die cut out the a pair of leaves to place under my flower. I stacked my petals starting from the largest one to the smallest using glue to adhere them together. I then glued the leaves behind the flower and set this aside to dry.
To create a pretty and soft background I made a stencil using the flower cover dies. I placed the stencil onto white card stock and added some glitz glimmer gel over the stencil. Once the stencil was covered I scraped off any extra gel and removed the stencil from the paper. I then set this piece aside to dry as well.
While everything was drying I stamped out a sentiment from the Seasons Of Change stamp set onto green card stock, trimmed it to a sentiment strip and added three glossy dots. Now it was time to assemble the card. I added a piece of yellow card stock to a card base, then added the stenciled piece on top. I adhered the flower onto with some glue and popped up my sentiment strip to the right side of the card.
I didn’t feel the need to add any additional embellishments to the card as I wanted to keep it clean and simple. We would love to see what you can create with the new May release. Make sure to share with us on the Pink and Main Facebook gallery. Have a great day everyone and I will see you back here soon.
