Monthly Challenge #15 – Texture!

It’s time to kick off our monthly challenge for March! Our challenges begin on the second Friday of each month, and each month has a different theme. We hope you’ll use it as inspiration to create a card!

This month’s theme is: Texture!

We’re challenging you to create a card with added texture! The texture can come from all sorts of things – embossing folders, pastes, flock, glitter – anything that adds a little extra something to you card. We hope you’ll use this inspiration and join us!

CHALLENGE RULES!

  1. Pink & Main products must be used on challenge entries.
  2. Cards must be a NEW creation, created specifically for this challenge.
  3. Enter as many times as you’d like.

Enter your cards for this month’s challenge in one of two ways: in the Inlinkz link-up at the bottom of this post, or in the March challenge album in the Pink & Main Creations Gallery Facebook Group. Enter for a chance to win a Pink & Main store credit worth $25.

Submissions close on Wednesday, April 8 at 11:59pm ET. The winning entry will be selected randomly and posted with the next new challenge blog post.

Now let’s check out the inspiration from our Challenge Team!

Bea created this adorable card with the Chirp Chirp Hooray stamp set. Her texture is the fun tinted paste she used to ground her scene.

Brennan’s added two types of texture. The Oops A Daisy image is heat embossed in white. And he added great texture with the Pocket Full of Posies Embossing Folder.

Dominique added wonderful texture with the Lucky Horeseshoe Dies. The horseshoe itself has built in texture from the embossing the die adds. And Dominique also added texture but partially cutting the shamrocks into her background! You can achieve this look by using the embossing mat that comes with most die cutting machines.

Jennifer also added embossing folder texture with the Quilted folder. She filled her birdbath with Ice Rink Glitter, which also adds texture!

Michelle used the Burlap Embossing Folder to add texture to her Oh Capy Day scene.

Rosie used the Birthday Wishes Embossing Folder with watercolor paper for deep texture and then highlighted that texture with the Twinkle Inks.

We loved seeing all of your red and pink creations from the February color challenge! We randomly chose a winner from all of the entries – congratulations to Sheryl Forgy! Sheryl, please send us an email to support@pinkandmain.com to claim your $25 store credit!

Now it’s your turn, we hope you’ll play along! You have until Wednesday, April 8 at 11:59pm ET to add your link to your NEW CREATION FEATURING PINK & MAIN PRODUCTS using our theme to be eligible for the prize of a $25 store credit. (Cards created prior to this challenge are not acceptable entries.) The winner will be chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!
