May your coffee be strong!

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here. First of all, have you seen the exciting news over at Simon Says Stamp? Pink and Main is the feature stamp of the day today, for Stamptember. These stamps always sell out fast, so go and have a quick look here! I have a card for you today that will resonate with all the hard working mama stampers out there! I’m not a coffee drinker, but I can completely understand this sentiment!

This is a completely one layer card, stamped onto Kraft cardstock and coloured with pencils. This stamp set is called Mom Life (Mum life for me as an Australian!), and it has a bunch of great real life images and sentiments. There are also matching dies available, although I didn’t use those today, being a one layer card and all.

I used Polychromos pencils for today’s colouring. I started light, and built the colour up in layers, I decided to go with a black outline. I left the sentiment after only once stamping, because I thought the washed out black was a funny way to express the bleariness that comes with the tiredness. A second stamping would have given a crisp image, even on this textured paper.

There will be a few bleary eyes at Pink and Main this morning after the late night excitement of last night’s release, but I’m sure that there will be coffee on hand! Have a great day, everyone. I’ll be back again next week!
