Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Pink and Main’s new release with the pretty floral stamp set named, Sweet Bouquet. I love both images and couldn’t choose which, so I used both!
For today’s card, I’m not using either of the images in it’s entirety. I actually decided to stamp them partially to create a border. Using a stamp positioner, I placed and stamped both bouquets on the bottom of the card, flipped the card 180 degrees and stamped again. This way the images are stamped in the same position. I stamped these images using a black ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.
I wanted to use water based markers to color these images in. It took a bit of time but it was relaxing coloring!
To finish off this card, I trimmed down the card front by a quarter of an inch so I could mat it on navy cardstock. For the sentiment, I pulled out the Magical stamp set since it contains a lot of small sentiments that I could build. I didn’t want to use the main sentiment since it didn’t really fit with the card so instead, I used “Sending You Birthday Greetings”. I heat embossed it on the same navy cardstock with gold embossing powder. I also wanted a gold trim around the sentiment strip so I heat embossed a large sentiment strip in gold and put the sentiment strip on top.
The gold adds a bit of elegance to the card and that’s it for today’s card! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed seeing how I put this together. Come back again soon for some more inspiration and ideas!
