Hey peeps. It’s Dana here with you today. I’m sharing a card using the latest release. I’m not into the scaring part of Halloween such as haunted houses and the like. I just like seeing the adorable little kids in their cute costumes looking for a treat. So my card today is just that, less tricks and more treats.
For my card I decided to make a cute shaker card. I started off by stamping and coloring some of the images from the Less Tricks stamp set. Using my Copic markers, I quickly colored up the bear and owl and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I set them aside to start on the shaker bit. I die cut the shaker part using the Reverse Scallop Rectangle and the Not Too Spooky 6×6 paper pad. I added foam tape to the rectangle to give it some height and placed a piece of acetate behind the opening to keep my sequins in place.
Next I filled the opening with colorful sequins and glitter and sealed it with a piece of striped orange, purple and white from the same 6×6 paper pad. For my sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Less Tricks stamp set in versa mark on black card stock and heat set it with white embossing powder. I trimmed down the sentiment to form a stipe and fish tailed the end with my scissors. I adhered the sentiment across the shaker element.
Now it was time to complete my card. I layered a small piece of the striped paper to black card stock and adhered that to a white card base. This keep the colors flowing through the card. I placed on my shaker element to the card and added on the colored animals. This card really has my heart as it’s so cute and not scary at all. So tell me…what’s your favorite part of Halloween. Leave your comments below. Thanks for hanging out with me today. I’ve listed the products used in this post below for your shopping pleasure. Have a great day everyone.
