Sending you an Autumn leafy hello today as we step into fall. I love the change of season that brings cooler temps and the most beautiful foliage!
I wanted to capture all of my favorite fall colors so I started with a color block background of 1/2″ strips of colorful cardstock. I started with reds, oranges and yellow, and ended in shades of green.
The new Leafy Set 3 dies come with s detailed and solid die for each of the three different stems in the set. I cut the detailed outline die from white cardstock and the background solid die from aqua cardstock. I chose aqua because it was not one of the colors used in the background so I knew it would contrast well. Stacking them together allowed the aqua to show through the openings in the detailed white leaves – no inlays required.
I didn’t want to cover up that gorgeous background too much so I added a “hello” sentiment from the Card Essentials 1 die set. To add a little sparkle I cut the background die from gold glitter paper and added a sprinkle of Gold Sticky Jewels. The sentiment is from Sweet Birds Sentiments and is cut with the small 1/4″ Sentiment Strips.
